Lady Carol Boyd

“Who Can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.”
“Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.”
Lady Carol Boyd was married for 42 years to the late Bishop Melvin Boyd, who pastored Grace Apostolic Church in Nashville, TN for 33 years. She diligently labored by her husband's side as the pastor's wife among other roles in the church that ranged from church organist, choir director, Sunday School teacher, and women’s ministry leader.
“Strength and honor are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come.”
She had a remarkable sense of style and was always graced with class and elegance. She was known for wearing beautiful hats. She wore them both figuratively and metaphorically in her lifetime.
“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.”
Lady Carol Boyd was a counselor, friend, and teacher. She has taught many women’s classes to ministers' and deacons’ wives, training them in pulpit etiquette, public speaking, marriage, and child-rearing.
“She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.”
Lady Carol Boyd earned a certificate in paralegal studies many years ago and used her skills to assist in church ministry as well as her home and employment. She was a writer, a psalmist, an author, a cook, and an extraordinary baker.
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
Lady Carol Boyd is the mother of seven children, grandmother of 21 grandchildren, and great-grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren. All of her children and grandchildren have been baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost, and are actively involved in ministry. Lady Carol Boyd’s four sons are all pastors in Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Steubenville, OH; and New Albany, IN.
Lady Carol Boyd was a wise woman and a radiant reflection of God’s unconditional love.
